"Is It Love?"

STORY

Heartbreak takes time. It starts in a moment, then spreads like a dropped glass of wine - seeping into the cracks. You do everything you can immediately after to clean up the mess, but red wine stains. After a while, you might even stop paying attention to it. Going unnoticed for months or sometimes years. But then there comes that day when you look down and see it again. The moment comes rushing back and all the work you did to clean up the mess sits in the front seat of your memory.

One of those times for me was when my ex started dating someone new. By this point, hopefully, you've already rationalized yourself into believing it's best you're not together. You see the relationship for what it was and appreciate it for how you grew as a person (see my song "Already Gone" for this sentiment). But all your inner work gets challenged the second your old flame falls in love again. You can't help but stare at the stain.

This song is about that time when you're forced to choose whether you hang on or finally let go.

LYRICS

by: Marshall Seese, Jr. & Eliot Bronson

Is it love? Did you find the one?
Are you done?
Is this the last time I'll be on your mind?
What did you find?
Is it enough?

It's good to you smiling
With the light in your eyes
We both knew this would happen
All in good time

Is it love? Did you find the one?
Are you done?
Is this the last time I'll be on your mind?
What did you find?
Is it enough?
Is it love?

I was holding on
After you had gone
Well maybe you were right
And time's on our side
We tried

Is it love? Did you find the one?
Are you done?
Is this the last time I'll be on your mind?
What did you find?
Is he enough?
Is it love? Did you find the one?
Are you done?
Is this the last time I'll be on your mind?
What did you find?
Is it enough?
It is love?
